TL16CP754C TX FIFO trigger level goes back to default value

Hi,

 

We have a problem with the TL16CP754C "trigger level for the TX FIFO" settings.

Even though the trigger level for the TX FIFO in the FIFO Control Register (FCR) is

set to 32 bytes,

after first 32 bytes of data transmission the trigger level goes back to default value of "8 bytes".

 

Please let me know if there is any suggestions about this issue.

    Hello Paddu,

    Does the TL16C754C get a RESET pulse or does the software reset the FIFOs by writing to FCR[2:1] after transmitting the first 32 bytes of data?

    Once the FCR is configured it should not change unless a device RESET occurs or the register is overwritten with new values.

    Can you send me the source code for the initialization and the transmit blocks? (jfockler@ti.com)
