TPS65987D: Changing Source Capabilities before connecting host to device

Hi Team,

Is it possible to change the source capabilities of a PD source before it's connected to a PD sink? I'm thinking this should be possible by updating register 0x32; not sure if this brings any consequences, though.

This is needed since in my application, I'd like to modify source capabilities based on the PSU used. If the PSU offers high power, I'd enable larger source cap, and vice versa.

    Hi Roy,

    You could offer as much power the system can provide on 0x32 with different PDOs. Therefore, when a PSU is connected, it will only request the highest power that it can handle, assuming it is a compliant device.

    Are you programming the PD configurations to an EEPROM?
