DP83867IR: DP83867IR and "wire_cross"

Part Number: DP83867IR

Hi,

we are designing a new board with PHY DP83867IRRGZ.
We want to use a RJ45-connector with integrated magnetics like TE-1-2301994 or Würth 7499111615.

When having a look at the layout I came across some issue:
Wires of channel B and channel D are crossed. The only way around this is to route around the pins of the RJ45 connector.
See image attached.

Datasheet of DP83867 claims "wire_cross" is possible (section 8.6.15 PHY Status Register "Wire_Cross")
We don't use mirror-mode, so channels stay the same.
Is it possible to cross just wires of two channels (B and D in my case?)

So I would like to do the following on PHY:

SLX1G-B2_TD_B_P --> SLX1G-B2_TD_B_N
SLX1G-B2_TD_B_N --> SLX1G-B2_TD_B_P

SLX1G-B2_TD_D_P --> SLX1G-B2_TD_D_N
SLX1G-B2_TD_D_N --> SLX1G-B2_TD_D_P

Or do I have to route around some of the RJ45-pins (or use VIAs) to cross the wires?

Regards
Mathias
