Hi Team,

My customer is using our TUSB8020B-Q1, they have some question about i2c and SMBUS mode application, could you help to provide your comment on this ?

In the datasheet, this chip can be configured as i2c and SMBUS mode..

If we need configuration on EEPROM with i2c enabled, can you provide the configuration so that we can bring this chip up.
If we set the chip as SMBUS mode, is there any reference Linux driver for TUSB8020B (SMBUS mode)

Hi Kai,

1. Yes we can provide EEPROM programming tool and sample file.

2. We do not have any Linux driver for TUSB8020B, the SMBUS is typically controlled by a microcontroller in the system.

EEPROM or SMBUS are not required for hub operation, it can be set by pin configuration only.
