DP83TG720R-Q1: Power supplies sequence

Hi Expert,

Customer have a question about the power supplies sequence for DP83TG720R-Q1

They are considering their system configuration about power supplies sequence. They found the situation of suppling VDD1P0 during power down VDDA3P3 and VDDIO in thier system requirement.

Datasheet is described as below,

"No supply sequencing constraint across power rails"

Q1. I think, it is no problem, is it correct?

Q2. Is their any leakage current from VDD1P0 to VDDA3P3/VDDIO power rails in this situation?

Based on the datasheet there is no specific sequencing for the supplies. There is a 40ms maximum duration for all power supplies to be available.

The above condition is not a concern if you are following the datasheet specified timing.

If the customer is facing any issues please provide more details for review.

Thank you for your reply.

If VDD1P0 will be supplied 1.0V, and VDDA3P3/VDDIO will be not supplied (it is meaning power off, just connected capacitor ), Is their any leakage current from VDD1P0 to VDDA3P3/VDDIO?

Is this condition for a short time or long time.

If this is for a short time, few ms this is fine.

As per the datasheet and for proper operation we do not recommend operating the device in the condition that you have described for ling time.

If there is a use case for this operation, please reach out over email to discuss the use case and do additional analysis.
