Thanks

Hello Ryan,
We would not recommend populating a 962 in the 964 EVM since they are designed for different data rates and we have never evaluated this stuffing option

Casey,
The reason is I have only one 964 EVM on hand. And I want to confirm one failure 962 which all 4 port randomly cannot lock with 935. For replacing test, the problem go with the failure 962.
964 EVM is designed to work with 933. How about I re-solder this 962 to 964 EVM and only test with 933. Then there is no data rate difference issue. This should work, right?
Hello Ryan,
The PoC networks on the 964 EVM are designed only to support the channel BW of 933/913A so they are not suitable to use with 935 that operates at ~4x the speed. So unless you disconnect the first PoC component from the FPD link and power the 933 separately, then this will not work
Best Regards,
Casey
Casey,
Understand. So if I use 964 EVM with 962 mounted to connect with 933/913, it should work, right?
Ryan,
At a high level it seems like it should work, but we have never tested such a configuration so can not confirm for sure
Best Regards,
Casey
