I think you mean, the external/outer Loopback is support, and in default is it's open(allowed), is it correct?

Yes, loopback modes are available in the device and allowed.

if I want to close/ open the  external loopback modes, what I should do, eg. change the properties in the which config file or execute some command.

Or we can't close the mode.

we can't get the mac model easily, currently we use qcom sa6155 borad(we can't easily get the MAC model in office document), can you tell me how I can get the MAC model you request?

Thanks. The question i has was not different mac but which MAC you are using. You mentioned this is qcom sa6155 board and i got the answer.

In fact I just want to konw there is anyway(change config or or invoke some api) we can close/ open loopback; for we will do test the ethernet output through, bit erro rate and so on;

so we must make sure the ethernet card is "supported external loopback" and "the external loopback function is open".
