For a customer we supply a capacitive transmission-line that requires a DC-free bit-sequence.
Our customer has a serial datastream with 2,5Gbps that can have a random length of same bits before changing, resulting in bit-errors when transmitted.
We couldn't find a device to encode and to decode the serial datastream with 8B10B.
Also TI service transferred to this forum.
We don't have a FPGA or CPLD nor do we have experience with something like that.
Best would be a device with included 8B10B-functionality like i.e. TLK2501.
Block-diagram of system:
- blue: Customer with his 2,5 Gbps random bit sequence
- Red:Capacitive transmission-line which should include 8B10B-encoding and decoding
