TUSB8020B: BASIC Question : USB3 "Power switching"

Hi.

This is basic question.  According to FULLPWRMGMTz pin Functions description on the datasheet, This pin selected "Power switching support" or not.  What do you mean "Power switching"?  Does this mean "to supply power to downstream devices"?  Please advise us.

    Hello,

    If full power management is selected (FULLPWRMGMTz = low), this means that the PWRCTL outputs are used to control downstream port power switches.  If downstream port power is always on or not controlled by the hub PWRCTL outputs then full power management is not enabled and FULLPWRMGTMz should be set high.
