DP83848-EP: Conbination of ethernet transformer HX5149NL

Hello,

I am designing 100Mbps ethernet circuit that is used DP83848-EP.

I am considering of using ethernet transformer PN: HX5149NL for this circuit.

(productfinder.pulseeng.com/.../HX5149NL )

The circuit around the transformer is based on the contents of Fig. 1 of AN-1519 (SNLA088A).

I would like a comment on the combination of DP83848-EP and HX5149NL.

Hi Mesh,

Magnetics requirements can be found in Section 6.2.1.5 in the datasheet. You may compare the specs of the HX5149NL to the datasheet to see if it meets this device's requirements.
