Hi Team,
quick question and sanity check: To use a FPD3 SER (947, 949) and a DES (948) successfully we must make sure that the link is established and all parts are started following the correct procedure. To my understanding this means (simplified):
- Start SER
- VDDx power-up sequence
- pull PDB high
- INIT A
- valid OLDI CLK input
- INIT B
- achieve valid DOUT
- Start DES
- valid DIN from SER
- VDDx power-up sequence
- pull PDB high
- achieve LOCK status
DES must not start before SER has achieved valid DOUT. SER will achieve valid DOUT only after completing INIT B (1.e) as described above, never after only INIT A (1.c, 1.d).
Is this correct? Thanks, best regards,
Johannes.
