TPS65988: Configuration issue

Hi,

I program the TPS65988 with configurations like the below:

But when I enter debug mode in the Application Customization Tool I see that this register has this configuration:

When I change in debug mode, for example, External Processor to Default (like it is in my configuration) the TPS65988 starts to work and negotiates the voltage like it is configured in my Sink PDO 2. Without changing anything it doesn't work (no negotiation), all switches are disabled.

How to properly configure this chip to make it work after connecting the USB PD source?

Michal,

What's the part number of PD device you are trying to flash? TPS65988DK or DJ?

What's the GUI version you are using and what's the FW version? Can you send me the project file?

I attached the project file.

PN is TPS65988DH, GUI version 6.1.2, FW is F707.10.09.

Hi Michael,

Are you trying to configure TPS65988DH to a dual port device or are you trying to use the EVM to simulate TPS65987S device? TPS65988DH is a dual port device, so you can't map all PP switches to Vbus1. You will need to PPS1 (internal) and PPS 3(external) to Vbus1. You can try a default configuration by creating a project file with the GUI. Thanks.
