    Could you help to check if DS280DF810/DS280DF810 can driver SAS3.0/4.0 as repeater/retimer? thanks!

    Hi Fly He,

    Please keep in mind that the DS280DF810 is not rated to support SAS4.0, so there may be unforeseen issues in using this part in a SAS4.0 system.  With that said, the SAS4.0 data rate is 24Gbps, which is within the supported data rate of the DS280DF810.  You may need to investigate hot swap behavior in order to ensure compatibility.

    Also, I'm unsure if SAS has link training, but it is important to keep in mind that many systems with link training requiring a signal conditioning device will need to use a redriver in order to ensure linear transmission of the FIR pre/post emphasis set by the transmitter.

    Please let me know if there are additional specific details you would like me to look into regarding compatibility of SAS4.0 and DS280DF810.
