TUSB2036: reset pulse width

Guru 29720 points
Part Number: TUSB2036

Hi Team,

The datasheet shows the following.

Is there any problem if we set pulse width longer than 1ms?
if the answer is yes, I would like to know why the reset pulse width should be shorter than 1ms.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hi Yaita,

The concern with a long reset pulse is generally the potential for interoperability issues.  For example in embedded systems the host may not enumerate a hub properly if it is connected but held in reset.  It is less of a concern if DP0PUR is implemented correctly.
