I am overhauling a circuit where the previous designer used a SN65HVD55D.
A full duplex rs485 network will be created with about 200 devices connected to each other. Given that the first device and the last are almost 1000m away from each other, what is the best solution to protect the rs485 line from possible electromagnetic fields (obviously on the final device I will put a 50 ohm resistor)?
