TUSB8042A: TUSB8042A USB compliance test fail downstream Rx test

Part Number: TUSB8042A

Dear Team,

The TUSB8042A's USB compliance test fails the downstream receiver test.

It seems that I haven't switched to loopback mode.

Is there a procedure to enter to loopback mode?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Do you have the upstream port of the hub connected to a host with USB 3.0 enabled?  Can you confirm that the host is not resetting the hub ports when they enter loopback mode?

Are you running short or long channel test?

    Regards,

  • Dear JMMN

    1. The hub's upstream port connects to a USB 3.0 enabled host. Is there a command sent by the host to enter the Rx loopback mode?Is it different from the command required for Tx test?

    2. The hub port has not been reset.

    3. Both the long channel test and the short channel test failed.

    Thanks.

  • Can you share error report?  I would like to see what the noted error is.  Also, can you share picture of setup.  Accept my friend request and you can send it directly to me off-forum.

  • Please send me another direct message before your next test session so I can arrange quick support while you are at the test house.
