DP83867CS: Can DP83867CR be used as compatible replacement

We have a new design with DP83867CS but we can't get samples, it seems like the DP83867CR is identical just without the SGMII interface tested.

Can the DP83867CR be used as an replacements just with untested SGMII interface or can't we enable the SGMII on DP83867CR?

    Hello Sune,

    In the intermediate use, yes. However, if these are used for production, it is not recommended as the DP83867CR is not covered under the datasheet for performance and therefore is not covered under our final test. Therefore, we cannot guarantee performance of the SGMII portion of DP83867CR.
