Does (Initialized by Application Customization) in this context mean that if I wish to use GPIO events, I MUST have a SPI flash on my device, in order for the configuration tool to be able to save my settings? What if I want to use a TPS65988 with no SPI flash, and only I2C control, does that mean I need to continually poll registers to detect any of these events?
