Hello team,

While I support my customer, I have question for safety of CSI input.

As you know, we have function of CSI and Dphy error detection.

0x4e[3] shows CSI error and I understand this flag is from 0x7a.

but I have question here as below

1) What is difference between 0x54 and 0x7a.

2) Which register determine CSI error flag in 0x4e[3]??

3)0x7a is read clear register. when I try read and clear this 0x7a, CSI error bit of SER is also cleared?

Could you pls help advise?? I will need to help my customer to implement safety with CSI error... how to clear error flag and how to use.. and so on...

Hello Harry,

1) The 0x7A and 0x54 registers are similar, but not all bits in both registers are designated for the same errors.

2) Register 0x7A (CSI_RX_STS) determines CSI error flag in 0x4E[3]

3) No, the CSI error bit in the SER will not be cleared. You will have to read the status in the SER to clear that and then read the status in the DES to make sure the status is cleared.

For #3, So do you mean that I need to clear CSI error register on both SER and DES? my understanding is correct??

Yes, you will have to read registers on both SER and DES to clear that CSI error status on both devices.
