TPS65987EVM: About VBUS setting of DFP

Hi Team,

I would like to set configuration of TPS65987EVM by “TPS659xx Application Customization Tool”.

The setting method is as follows but I can't change VBUS of DFP.

(Even if I set it to 9V(PDOs is 2), it will be 20V.)

Could you please let us know if you have any concern?

[Tool Setting]

1.Select New project -> TPS65988DHH -> Select Standard -> Downstream facing port(DFP )only -> Port setting -> Transmit Source capabilities

2.Select Number of Bank0 source PDOs is 2

3.Flash From current project -> USB to SPI Adapter is FTDI

4.Verification is displayed so communication is normal

Could you confirm that you are power cycling the board after you flash the new configurations?

Hi Hide,

That's strange, could you check the device version on the EVM, could you tell me if it's the TPS65988DDH or TPS65988DDJ?

Also, on the image you are showing the 1 port TPS65987D EVM but you mentioned in the GUI, you selected the TPS65988DH, which is our 2 port device. Could you tell me if you EVM has 1 or 2 Type-C ports? If it has 2 ports, you will need to make sure both ports are configured for those PDOs.

Hi Hari-san,

I'm sorry to confuse you.

TPS65988DHH is typo so I use TPS65987DDH(1port).

Correct: TPS65987

Incorrect: TPS65988

Hi, so just to confirm, you are using the TPS65987D option on the GUI and using the 1 port firmware, correct? What are your ADCIN values so that I can also check the default configurations?
