DS125DF410: question about setting

I have some question.

1. What does it mean "Front-Port Ingress (Module-to-Host)"??

ex. SFP+ ==> Retimer ==> CPU ???

2. We are going to use as Ethernet(10.3125G/1.25G) mode. 

And we will use two retimer(DS125DF410). One of the retimer will use for Tx line(Engress), other retimer will use for Rx line(ingress).

Also we will set Register Programming via SMBus.

1) could you provide that as Front-Port Ingress Configuration Sequence(SNLA323, p6)???

2) could you provide that as Front-Port Egress Configuration Sequence(SNLA323, p6~7)???

    Hi,

    1) Yes you are correct, front port ingress would be SFP --> Retimer --> CPU.

    2) Please follow the front-port ingress and egress configurations from SNLA323, p6-7 with the following modification:

    To select your desired datarate, replace the register value in register 0x2F (step 4 in the configuration sequences) with the appropriate value from the table below.  For your case, I believe the Ethernet standard would be appropriate, so set register 0x2F to 0xF6 in step 4.
