Unfortunately, we do not have a Linux driver for any of our SER/DES devices. You can reference the datasheet for programming guidance and also use our Analog Launchpad GUI to try out different programming.
Actually for these devices, if you have correct hardware sittings, then you will not need any or very limited software settings.

I'm new in Linux and just want to be sure that I know what to do:
Can I write the initialize procedure of the device in application layer and use the I2C Linux driver to Read/Write the data to the device.
I am not sure how you need to do that, but yes, our device configuration can be done (if required) via I2C bus.
