Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01, , TPS25750

Was testing the TPS25750EVM: USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 with charging regular USB devices from the USB C port.
One device that would not charge at all was a iPad with lighting charging port.
The Data pins on the iPad ended up being 3.3v on one pin and 0v on the 2nd data pin.
It charges at 1 Amp via the USB port on the older TPS25740EVM I have here.
How is the TPS25750 supposed to handle the billions of older USB devices and their charging configurations?
Can we update the TPS25750 firmware to properly communicate and set charging currents for older popular devices so they can also charge at the quickest rates?
This EVM combo is awesome and my goal is to get it working so I can power USB-C & Legacy USB devices as intended, I think that is what the TPS25750 was designed to do so maybe it just getting the firmware ironed out.
