TPS25750: Power supply connection for 5V Source only

Hi team,

According to the datasheet p.51, Figure 10-5, 5V supply is connected to one of two terminal. Does it mean 5V power supply can be connected to either PPHV or PP5V?

However I saw the block diagram shows only PP5V can supply "Power Supervisor", so that 5V should be connected to PP5V, PPHV should be opened, is my understanding correct?

Hi,

No you will only connect 5V to PP5V. There are 2 power paths, however, 5V is used to supply power to PP5V for sourcing and PPHV is typically used for the higher voltage sinking. Figure 10-5 will just show that for this configuration, we will not know how the plug is inserted and therefore CC1 or CC2 could be used to source power depending on the orientation.
