TUSB4020BI: Clock source

Hi Experts,

Good day.

Client would like to use this USB Hub TUSB4020BIPHP on one of their application, and raised confirmation about its clock source.

The can't choose Xtal resonator for this, they're planning to use an clock oscillator 24MHz (P/N: ASCO-24.000MHZ-EK-T3). This clock oscillator is supplied with 1.8V and connected directly to XI pin. XO is left unconnected.

The ASCO-24.000MHZ-EK-T3 oscillator is a 24MHz +-50ppm , supplied at 1.8Vdc (Supplier ABRACON).

Could you please confirm if this oscillator is compatible with the TUSB4020BIPHP?

    Hi Archie,

    Yes, that meets the device requirements:

    Input Clock Requirements When using an external clock source such as an oscillator, the reference clock should have a ±100 PPM or better frequency stability and have less than 50-ps absolute peak-to-peak jitter. XI should be tied to the 1.8-V clock source and XO should be left floating
