DP83825I: Can the DP83825IRMQR be used as a media converter with the DP83TD510E?

So RMII "SLAVE" as the MAC option of the 825 and RMII "MASTER" as the MAC option of the 510 will not work?  That is the arrangement I planned to use and it looks like the 825 straps support that configuration.

We recommend using 825 as RMII master as this configuration will have lesser constraints for your applications. Otherwise we will need to make sure that 510 is already giving clock to 825 before 825's supply is stable. 825 needs this reference clock to be stable at power up.

Thank you for explaining.  It does bring up some more questions.

If the 825 is RMII master, will the 510 have problems if the reference clock from the 825 is not stable when the 510 powers up?

If I were to use the DP83826 or 822 with the 510 as RMII master could I encounter issues if the 826/822s supply is stable before the the 510 provides the reference clock?

510 will work fine even if the reference clock is not present before the supplies stablize. Limitation is only with 825/822/826 parts and these parts may need an extra reset after the clock is stable (depending upon the power - clock sequence)
