DP83867IS: 8.5.3 LED Operation From 1.8-V I/O VDD Supply

Would you mind if we ask DP83867IS?

We would like to confirm "8.5.3 LED Operation From 1.8-V I/O VDD Supply" on the datasheet.




On this figure, there is no resitance at base pin of transistor to limit base current.
Is it possible to configure without resitance(for current limit) at base pin?

We assume there are following background;
-By inserting resitance, it affects to strap setting
-LED0～2‗pins are high impedance output, output current is limited.

Is our recognition correct?
