TLIN1027-Q1: TLIN1027 can't communicate with K-line normally, and there is a slight fever

Part Number: TLIN1027-Q1

Hi Team,

During the testing the timing,TLIN1027 can't communicate with K-line normally, and there is a slight fever. Customers are more worried that there will be problems. Can you help to analyze what the problem is. The following is our circuit schematic diagram.

  • Amelie,

Thanks for reaching out! I have some questions that might help narrow down what we are working with here.

Are both R47 and R52 populated? This would mean a pull-up strength of 500 Ω. The TLIN1027-Q1 expects 1 kΩ at the strongest. Is there resistance in R36?

Additionally, R49 and R56 seem a little high compared to what I see designers usually use here. Has there been an attempt to communicate after either shorting across these resistors or replacing R49 and R56 with 0 Ω resistors?

What is the nature of the abnormal communication? Is any data being transmitted? Does the waveform look strange in any particular way?

    Best,

    Danny
