Hi, 

customer wonder if there's any trace distance limitation for source to TRS3243E and to the RS232 connector. please advise. Thanks.

    Hello! 

    TRS3243E meets or exceeds the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU v.28 standards. RS232 standard has an approximate max cable length of 20m, but this depends on several factors such as baud rate, type of cabling, amount of capacitance on cabling, the load you are driving, etc. 

    To answer your question. The limitation does not rest with the device's specs, but with the overall design of your RS232 setup.
