TPS65987D: Is there an industrial temperature range available for this part?

We are looking to use this part in a military environment. These tests require the product to work at -50 degrees. Is there a version of this part or alternative that can be used?

Kevin,

Our industrial temperature range typically ends at -40C and the specified operating temperature of the TPS65987D is -10C.

I do not believe that we will have a part that will meet your requirements, but I will confirm with our product team.

We are currently considering the feasibility of supporting Industrial temp on ‘987, but you can currently use TPS25750 for industrial temp applications today

Thank you Adam. Do you have any information as to what will prevent the 987 from working at lower temperatures? I have it designed into a product already and am looking at the risks involved.

We have not finished evaluating this internally so we cannot guarantee that it will operate at the temperatures you are requesting. As of right now, for the 987 we stand behind the temperature values that are currently listed in the datasheet since we have validated this internally.
