Hi I'm Jieun,
I have a question about Ethernet interface.
I got this image from "AN-1469 PHYTER design & Layout Guide"
As you know, the Ethernet RX and TX signals received from RJ45 are transmitted to the PHY device through LAN transformer.
In the circuit above, it may be seen that the RX+ signal of RJ45 is connected to RX+ of PHY device and RX- is connected to RX- .
1) I wonder what happens when RX+ of RJ45 and RX- of PHY device are connected. Even if they are connected like this, does it work normally?
2) Whether RX+ and Rx- really represents it's polarity(+,-) or just indicate differential signal?
Best regards,
