TUSB8020B: Could our USB3.0 HUB do port switching under linux OS?

Part Number: TUSB8020B

Dear team,

My customer is using the GENESYS LOGIC's USB hub in current project at ARM 64 platform. They're wondering that when the Host SOC send a USB 3.0 signal to the USB hub under the Linux OS,  is it possible to specify USB hub port1 or port2 to receive the data and output by using tool or modifying the hub register?

If yes, customer will evaluate the possibility of replacing the USB hub to our solution.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Cindy

  • Hi Cindy,

We do not have any tools or hub registers that will changing the routing of USB packet.  The TUSB8020B hub will route packets based on how they are addressed by the host.
