TPS65981: PD Control as a Source

Part Number: TPS65981

Hello,

I am currently trying to control the power supply to a USB-C device from the TPS65981. From this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1032775/tps65981-gpio-or-i2c-control-of-internal-vbus-power-switch/3823800, Hari gave the solution of using the SRDY command to control the power output. However, I noticed now that SRDY is used to enable a power switch for input as a sink.

I have the EVM set up with an LCD monitor that uses USB-C for power and display. MUXCTL0 is flashing, indicating that it recognizes that there is a USB-C device connected. I have no display input from the expansion port, which I understand might be the reason I am getting no power to the LCD at the moment. What I would like is to have the monitor simply turn on with a "No input source" message on the display as when you power a monitor with no display cable, and then be able to stop the EVM from supplying the screen power.

Essentially I am trying to have the TPS65981EVM supply power to a LCD with a USB-C input port (display port alternate mode). The intent is to be able to control when it is supplying power to the screen (i.e. control the state of the 3.0 A gate control switches for PP_5V0 and PP_HV).

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
