DS90UB954-Q1: Changing the RX MODE

I refer to the data sheet(SNLS570B) P30, "Table 2. Strap Configuration Mode Select".
It seems that when Rhigh = OPEN and Rlow = 10KΩ, the RX MODE will be set to CSI-2 nonsynchronous Back Channel.

Q1.
Is it able to change to CSI-2 Synchronous mode after startup?
If it is possible, please tell me the setting procedure.

Hello Mukku,

Normally we recommend to set that using the Hardware, i.e. to change the resistor values, but if that is not possible then you need to set Reg 0x58[2:0] to 110 for switching into Synch Mode.

We received the following confirmation request from the customer.
Could you tell me why you recommend the H/W setting?
Please let me know if there are any problems (factors) that might be caused by changing the setting by the register.

Hello Mukku,

There is no any problem can be caused by setting using registers.

Setting via Hardware will be loaded first, so if you use this it will just be faster and save you the I2C writing steps
