SPI Expander suggestion

Hi team,

I understand that TI does not have an SPI expander, but I am looking for some way to do this.
Please let me know if there are any ICs or methods that can replace the SPI expander.

The most similar device would be a shift register. Do you need both inputs and outputs?

Hi Ryu,

Unfortunately you are correct as we do not have such a device in our portfolio today, however, we do have ways to simulate this functionality. Below I have linked an app note that goes over using an MSP430 to act as a SPI expander.
