TCA9800: schematic consult

Part Number: TCA9800

Hi team,

My customer want to use TCA9800 as a buffer between CPU and DIMM. And frequency of I2C is 100kHz. can you help review below schematic?

thanks and best regards,

Sophia

  • Hi Sophia,

This schematic looks good. I don't have any changes to recommend. See my notes below.

    • Voltage range for both A and B side are respected.
    • Decoupling capacitors included at both supplies and valued appropriately.
    • No pull-up resistors/other current sources available on B-side. Ensure that R1151 and R1152 are not populated.
    • Pull-up resistor values are able to support desired data rate. 2k-ohm PU can support Standard-mode (100kHz) up to ~300pF bus capacitance.

Let me know if there are any questions or concerns regarding this feedback or the design.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
