MAX3243E: Performance difference between package

Hello team,

Our customer is planning to replace MAX3243EIDBR for delivery issue, and assumed if MAX3243ECDBR could be considered as an alternative.

Difference of operation temperature between packages are described in the datasheet page 2, but could you confirm if there are any other characteristic differences?

Hi Ryotaro,

Both parts have same electrical characteristics. ECDBR has a narrower temperature range. I could not find any other electrical differences from each other.

Since it has same electrical characteristics, could customers skip their evaluation process for MAX3243ECDBR? They assumed it has same results as long as usage temperature fulfills both package's temperature ranges.

What does the evaluation process entail? I would also assume similar results due to similar electrical characteristics as long as the temperature range is respected.
