TPS65987D: About number of adaptable PDO

Part Number: TPS65987D

Hi Team,

We use TPS65987D for UFP(Sink).

However, TPS65987D can't negotiate if I connect a specific AC adapter.

(According to result of analyzer, Hard reset is occurring.)

The difference between the OK and NG adapters are the number of PDOs.

OK :3 PDOs

NG :7 PDOs

Could you please let us know if you have any information(concern)?

If you want to have a maximally flexible sink and you can deal with all of the possible voltages, then configure the 987 to be a variable sink with 5 to 20V, 3A current (or 5A of needed)

This will allow the 987 to attach to any valid sink.

Hi Chuck-san,

Please approve "friendship".

I was able to request “friendship” because I see your status is “Cancel friendship request” on your account.

So, you should have been notified by E2E system.

If you can’t receive "friendship" from me, I guess that E2E system error.
