LMH0397: Device ID Change

Part Number: LMH0397

Hi

I have a question about LMH0397.

There is a device ID item in the "Share Register Page"

Can the value of this device ID change due to an unintended write to a register?

The register value for the device ID is probably 0x69.

However, there was an IC whose value that could actually be read was 0x60,0x68,0x6e.

I think this device will return the register settings to the initial values every time it boots.

Is this perception correct?

Is there a register that holds the previous value?

  • Greetings,

Device ID register is constant and we should read the same value and from different devices.

  • Hi

    Thank you for answering

I understand that the device ID is never rewritten
That is, I think my device is not able to read the correct values.

How about the answer to this question?

  • Greetings,

Your understanding is correct. Device will return the same value after each reboot.

Please refer to the programming guide. There are other registers or register bits that return the same value after every boot.
