DS26LV32AQML: DS26LV32AQML

Part Number: DS26LV32AQML

Good Afternoon,

Consider scenario where RS-422 driver is providing input to RS-422 receiver which is un-powered. For worst case current input to receiver, the driver output is high and not toggling. From DS of receiver, this has minimum input resistance of 5K and for VIN = +5V, IIN = 1.8mA (max), as outlined in DS.

If driver output is 3.6V(max) then IIN = 3.6V / 5K = 0.72mA and complies with IIN = 1.8mA (max). Hence, the receiver is able to sustain IIN in un-powered state without incurring any damage.

Question: Does the receiver have parasitic input diodes as this information is not referenced in DS? If so, for input current flowing of <1mA, is this sufficient to forward bias the +ve input diode what would be the effect on the receiver under this scenario?
