Hi team,

I have an input/output question about 941/960/983:

Do we have the overshoot and undershoot of the DSI/DP input and about the CSI-2 output?

Since I have seen a peak interference amplitude about 941AS DSI input:

So from my understanding it means that if the DSI overshoot/undershoot voltage exceed the maximum 200mV, the 941AS will get interference by the unstable DSI input right? Could I understand the parameter as the "overshoot/undershoot"?

If so, what about the overshoot and undershoot of 983 DP, 960 CSI-2 signal and what about the LVDS overshoot/undershoot requirement? Thank you.

Hello Zirui,

As long as this undershoot or overshoot is for a very short time (few uS) and within the absolute maximum ratings (see datasheet), the device should be okay and will work normally.
Please note that exposure to the absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.

Hi Hamzeh,

Sure my customer's question is that does peak interference amplitude means the overshoot or undershoot? And do our 983 DP/960 CSI-2 signal have the requirement because car OEM FORD is asking customer for the spec but they do not know whether the peak interference voltage refer to the overshoot/undershoot concept? Thank you.

Hello Zirui,

Yes, you need to consider that Overshoot/undershoot do not exceed our absolute maximum rated conditions from the datasheet.

Thanks for your clarify and about 941AS we could understand that the peak interference amplitude means the overshoot/undershoot. How about the 983 DP signal requirement and 960 CSI-2 signal overshoot and undershoot requirement? Please kindly help us to share it, thank you!

Zirui,

what I have stated is valid for all devices. It is not 941AS specific.

Also, 960 is a deserializer, hence CSI-2 port is an outut. So we do not have specs for this interface. These specs we do have for inputs not outputs!

Sure I got that the CSI-2 will not have the requirement. Where could I find the DP/DSI input overshoot/undershoot requirement? Customer need us to provide the detailed spec to confirm with car OEM, thank you!

Zirui,

As I said, they need to make sure these under- and overshoots do not exceed our absolute maximum rated conditions from the datasheet.
