SN65EPT21: Definition of VIH, VIL, VIHCMR and VPP

Hi Team,

My customer have following questions about SN65EPT21. Could you kindly help? Thanks.

1. Definition of VIH and VIL. Does it mean if D and D bar pin have input signal ranging 2075mV~2420mV, it will be seen HIGH inside IC. And if input signal ranging 1355mV~1675mV, it will be seen LOW inside IC?

2. If 1. is correct, when VCC is fixed, what will output be when D and D bar pin have input signal ranging 0~1354mV or 2421~3300mV?

3. What is VIHCMR? I couldn't understand it from datasheet.

4. What is VPP? I couldn't understand it from datasheet.

Hi Jo,

1. Correct.

2. Output will be low however signal should be disregarded in this case.

3. This specifies the common mode voltage between D and D_z when you expect the LVTTL output to be high when operating in single-ended mode. (no differential input)

4. Vpp is the differential peak to peak voltage when operating with a differential input.
