TCA9617A: TCA9617 VOHmin

Part Number: TCA9617A

Hi,

When looking at the datasheet I can't seem to find the VOHmin. Anyone knows how to find it?

  • Hi Yoel,

The TCA9617A doesn't have a VOH measurement because the TCA9617A is only translating (outputting) when the controller/target device is driving either side low. If you look at the test circuit on figure 3, when the open drain driver is driving a HIGH - this means that the bus is being pulled up through RPUA to VCCA on the "A" side, and the "output" on the "B" side is being pulled up to VCCB through RPUB. This is why in the datasheet we only include VIH - high level input voltage spec, to show that each side must follow I2C standards minimum voltage requirements by 70% of supply voltage: 0.7 * VCCA, 0.7 *VCCB.

    Regards,

    Tyler
