Hi Team

New project of the 77 GHz RADAR requires CAN to have a wake-up function.

Can TCAN1044 do it?
Or only TCAN1043 has design support?

Or have other suggestions?

The requirement is that after the CAN transceiver enters sleep mode,
After receiving the CAN signal, the CAN transceiver goes to enable power IC

    This will depend on how the system will be controlled in its low power mode. TCAN1044 supports wake up pulse (WUP) recognition. While in Standby mode, the low-power receiver continues to monitor the bus for a WUP. When a wake event is recognized, the RXD pin will assert low to indicate to the controller that a wake event has occurred. While this approach still supports wake over CAN, it requires the controller or some other part of the system to manage the low-power state of the rest of the components. 

    TCAN1043 is a more complete solution for this. This device has a Vsup supply pin that can power the low-power receiver in the device's Sleep mode. This allows for the Vcc and Vio lines to be powered-off completely. When this device recognizes a wake event, indicates using the RXD pin but also has a dedicated high-voltage output signal INH. The INH signal will turn on when a wake event is recognized and can be used to enable local voltage regulators to bring the rest of the node into a functional state. This approach allows the transceiver to control the node state according to the mode of the transceiver. 

    Both of these approaches are suitable for wake on CAN systems and which approach is used will depend on the rest of the design. From your description that the CAN transceiver controls the power IC, it sounds like TCAN1043 may be the preferred approach.
