TCA8418: TCA8418 ESD

Part Number: TCA8418

Hello team,

Now we switch the TCA8418E to TCA8418, but from 8418E we see the 15kV EDS spcific in datasheet, and no clarify in 8418. 

So, could we can use 8418E?

    Hello,

    The E version of the 8418 fixes some of the non E's errata but also upgrades the ESD rating. You should be fine with using the non E version as long as you understand the errata and can accept the lower ESD rating. If you need to support the 15kV ESD on the GPIO pins, you would need to add external protection to these pins.

    The software should be the same between the two devices.
