TMUXHS4212: Host detects the presence of slave PCIe device even if no PCIe device installed. After remove high speed mux this issue is gone.

Part Number: TMUXHS4212

Hi~

Recently I'm seeing an issue on our design that host CPU detects the presence of PCIe M.2 device even if there is no device installed.

After removed TMUXHS4212, host CPU will no longer report the incorrect information.

I tried to replace host RX pair 0Ω to 0.22uF/0402 capacitor but the it does not work.

My questions are :

1. What is the preferred topology for PCIe Gen 4? Figure 8 (a), (b) or (c)?

2. In what circumstance I need to bias the host differential pair TX/RX to desired voltage?

3. Do I need it for PCIe Gen4? If it's needed, what the recommended VBIAS voltage for PCIe Gen 4?

4. Did I make any mistake in my topology (Please refer to the figure below)
