DS160PR810: PCIe x1 und x2 Bus Width Support

Dear Sir and Madam,

in Datasheet of DS160PR810 is spoken from a x4, x8 und x16 PCIe Bus Width Support. Does the DS160PR810 also support x1 and x2 Link Width?

For expample, we establish a PCIe x8 Adapter Card Slot with a DS160PR810, but connect only a PCIe x1 Adapter Card. Does this work?

    Hi Josef,

    Yes, the DS160PR810 will support x1 and x2 link width. Alternately, you can use our DS160PR410 which only has 4 channels. 

    Please note we recommend terminating unused channels with a 50 ohm resistor to ground. If you are not using all of channels 4-7, then pull PD1 pin high to turn them off.
