TPS65994QFNEVM: TPS65993BFRSL PD FW issue

Our project (Emdoor AG958) is used TPS65993BFRSLR(single port) PD controller that is simliar TPS65994 (dual port). We only got TPS65994 PD FW (SKU2_#5_B0_994BF_KB8002_v6_8_8_Interrupt.pjt) can't get 65993 PD FW and cause I2C communication fail between PD and APU, it causing USB4 port function can't workable.

In AG958 design,

USBC0 (USB4) port with TI TPS65993 PD and I2C Addr is 0x54 and below I2C log information by USB4 port with TPS65993, but APU ACK 50 is incorrect.

Could you kindly help provide suggestion to solve this issue? Thanks

We provide support the the TPS6599x reference designs through a separate internal system.

Please reach out to you FAE support engineer and ask them to enter an internal Jira for this support.

We had asked FAE to help confirm this issue on 12/10, but he told me that he didn't understand Type-C communinaction protocol and asked me to report this issue on E2E, there will be relevant experts to answer my questions.

OK, we will try to contact FAE and ask them to enter an internal JIRA for this support. BTW, this issue had impact our project schedule about 2 weeks, please help provide suggestion as soon as posible.

Tank,

I am not able to address issues of this nature on E2E due to shared IP protection. Your FAE should be able to look me up in the TI directory and contact me quickly.

We have fixed this issue by modifying PD FW by ourselves and PD_INT signal timing fine tune.
