PCA9534A: PCA9534APWR

Part Number: PCA9534A

Good day Colleagues,

My customer is using I/O expander TCA9534APWR, but he found a possible replacement of PCA9534APWR which are in stock now.

The only parameter that is under questing is minimum supply voltage of 2.3V . His our application at certain conditions voltage can drop to 2.1V for about 50ms.

In the component datasheet there is time parameter which is very important for his design.

Table 11-1 - VCC_GW - Glitch width that will not cause a functional disruption when VCCX_GH = 0.5 × VCCx

the customer would like to know if voltage drop from 2.6V to 2.1V for 50ms would not cause functional disruption?

He doesn't want to send any commands to the IC in the moment of voltage dropout.

He only needs to be certain that it will not reset its output states after voltage drops to 2.1V and then restores.

Thank you, Mikhail

  • Mikhail,

The POR voltage is actually shown as VPORF in the data sheet electrical characteristics table. The typical value is 1 V, which is well below the 2.1 V threshold for VCC that you mention.

    Best,

    Danny
