SN65LVDS4: alternative or 1.8V LVDS, 80MHz output solution

Part Number: SN65LVDS4
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS2, SN74AUC1G125, TLV713P

Could you tell me an alternative device or circuit for LVDS receiver SN65LVDS4 operating at 1.8V single power supply?
- Input: LVDS differential signal at 70 to 80 MHz.
- Output: 1.8 V high level.
- Operation power: 1.8V single power supply. The printed circuit board has 3.3 V power supply, but I don't want to use it if possible because it is noisy.
- A one-chip configuration is preferred. However, it is permissible to use multiple ICs or increase peripheral parts.

  • Hi,

Your issue is being assigned to the appropriate engineer. Due to the US Holiday there may be a delay in response to your post. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • This device is the only 1.8 V receiver in the portfolio.

You can use the SN65LVDS2 at 3.3 V, or at 2.5 V with a small LDO like the TLV713P. If the receiving device needs a 1.8 V signal, translate it down with any buffer with an overvoltage-tolerant input, e.g., SN74AUC1G125.

  • Thank you very much.
If you don't use 3.3 V, you can't make it happen. I want to minimize the effect of noise mixed at 3.3 V power supply as much as possible.
Thank you for giving me an example of devices. I was helpful because I was not sure which one to choose.  I will try the circuit of your idea.

    Regards,
